  • who manage safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) programs, to address common challenges when providing care and mobilizing patients of size.
  • Case studies from Peacehealth, RiverBend in Springfield, OR, and other hospitals in Oregon will be used to illustrate how a variety of SPHM
  • devices and slings can be used to facilitate frequently performed patient care tasks. Lessons learned when planning care of Bariatric patients
  • from admission to discharge related to handling and mobility needs will
  • be shared.
