Who were the Superheroes of the COVID-19 pandemic? What was their superpower? Likely there are many who qualify. Join us at GOSH 2023 and learn more.  

Lisa Rodriguez, RN, COHN and Theresa Kramer, MS, PT of St Charles Medical Center in Bend will present “Safety and Occupational Health Superpowers during the COVID-19 Pandemic.” Superheroes work best in a team. That’s what these two did during the pandemic. They teamed up and used their health and safety superpowers to protect the healthcare worker superheroes who put their own health on the line to care for those who became deathly ill. 

Lisa Rodriguez is a member of the Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She has served as a past president and is currently on the Board of Directors. With more than 30 years’ experience working in Employee Health, Workers Compensation management, Environment of Care and Safety Program management, Lisa was tapped to help lead the efforts to keep healthcare workers on the job and healthy.  

For 22 years, Theresa Kramer has been the Injury Prevention Program Coordinator for St. Charles Health System in Bend, OR. She has been Program Champion for St. Charles’ Safe Patient Handling program since 2004.  Her expertise in physical therapy and experience as Safety committee chair and committee member as given her a broad range of expertise in many topics in Healthcare Safety. Theresa has been a member of the Oregon Coalition for Healthcare Ergonomics (OCHE) since 2007. 

The Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health conference is one of the largest, multidisciplinary educational and networking opportunities in the pacific northwest. Put it on your calendar – March 6-9, 2023 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.
