Learn about Occupational Health Professional Certifications from OSAOHN President at GOSH 2023
Posted about 2 years ago by Kate Wood in Occupational Health
Ever wonder about professional certifications? In the Occupational Health and Safety field there are many different specialties. Attend GOSH 2023 (March 6 – 9, 2023) and you’ll get to meet many of the practitioners who hold these designations. You can even attend a session to learn more about them.
In fact, the current President of the Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (OSAOHN) holds several of these certifications herself. Jean Drevdahl Orchard, Ph.D., RN-BC, COHN-S/CM, CIH, CSP, CHMM, will join a panel to talk about the value of certification. Jean will talk about the steps to becoming a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN.) She has recently finished serving on the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN), the certifying entity for Occupational Health Nurses.
Learn more about workplace health and safety. Get to meet and converse with the many specialists who work in this space and how you too can become certified as one.
If you miss the session where Jean is presenting, you might find her at the OSAOHN booth in the Exhibit Hall. Or better, join her on Wednesday evening right after the last conference session of the day at the Occupational Health Nurses Networking Happy Hour Reception.
