Migraine Headaches - Is Work a Trigger? Join us at the Oregon Governor's Occupational Safety and Health Conference and Learn More

Posted over 1 year ago by Kate Wood in Occupational Health

Not just a headache. Migraines are a debilitating condition that can cause employees to miss work. Such unplanned absences are disruptive and costly to businesses. Worse - to be at work when one strikes. At their most severe, symptoms that accompany such headaches can make it unsafe to drive, to operate equipment or even to stand.

Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (OSAOHN) member, Joel Michels, Nurse Practitioner will discuss how to differentiate between a headache and migraines. Joel is the Manager of the City of Portland Oregon's Occupational Health and Well-Being program. He will present evidence-based treatment options for migraines.

Learn how successfully managing and preventing a migraine can result in better quality of life for workers and a more productive, healthier workforce for businesses.

Join Joel at GOSH 2023 on March 8, 2023 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. OSAOHN will be granting Continuing Education credits. Visit OSAOHN in the Exhibit Hall. Meet us at the OSAOHN Networking Happy Hour.

Go to oregongosh.com to see the full conference schedule. Conference registration is

open until March 3.
