Congratulations to OSAOHN President Jean Drevdahl Orchard - First Oregon OHN and new AAOHN Fellow

Jean Drevdahl Orchard PhD, RN-BC, COHN-S/CM, CIH, CSP, CHMM is the first Shelley Jones Oregon Occupational Health Nurse of the Year awarded by OSAOHN during the 2023 Oregon Governor's Occupational Safety and Health Conference. This week, Dr Drevdahl Orchard is also being inducted as an American Association of Occupational Health Nurses Fellow at the 2023 National Conference.

The Shelley Jones award was designed by the Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses in memory of long-time member and association leader, Shelley Jones PhD, COHN. Dr Jones educated, trained and mentored many of Oregon's OHNs during her time as Professor of Nursing at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Dr Drevdahl Orchard has a long and impressive resume. She has incorporated many of the allied workplace health and safety fields into her nursing practice. As President of OSAOHN she hopes to engage members in enhancing their practice and advancing the role of Occupational Health Nurses.
